A lover of history and cultures, David discovered at an early age that the best way to learn about the world was by traveling. After high school, David spent two years living in South America which cemented his passion for experiencing the world's cultures first-hand. After college, David looked for every opportunity to travel for work and with his family.

In 2013, David relocated his family across the country to New England. He began to explore the rich history of the region and its early settlers. Then, one day he recognized a name he'd heard passed down in family stories. He discovered the first of many ancestors who migrated from Europe to settle in the region.

His travels took on a much deeper meaning. He searched for homes, farms and the remnants of businesses and towns - each tied to stories of his family - his own history. He learned of their sacrifices, their struggles and triumphs, their talents and weaknesses. He uncovered family heroes and lessons learned from failures. In the process he learned more about himself and had a lot of fun doing it. His passion for experiential family history soared.

Then, one night, he had a dream that he was helping others to experience the same thing for themselves. He couldn't get the idea out of his head. Over the next year, David recruited the assistance of his mother who instilled in him a love of his own family ancestry along with several travel and family history advisors. After much research and effort Ancestry Traveler was born!
